Deborah Lippmann Snow White and the Huntsman set!

More new stuff from Deborah Lippmann

Personally, I'm not a fan of this movie at all. Kristen Stewart ruined the entire thing for me, I've never watched any of her movies and I never will. I kind of feel the same about this set. Nothing really special or unique in terms of color. I'm even iffy about the packaging.

New Sally Hansen Rock Of Ages Salon Effects Real Nail Polish Strips

I saw Rock of Ages a couple years back and LOVED it! Oh yes, nothing better than some good ol' rock and roll.

(enlarge for a better view)
Left to right:
Amp It Up- purple with black guitars
Zip It!- Sparkly silver with black zipper
Red-y To Rock- Red and white zebra/tiger print
Fingerlace Gloves- White base with black lace pattern
Star Quality- Pink base with dark blue stars
Good Genes- Destroyed denim pattern
Sticks and Stones- Red, black and white abstract pattern

I'm kind of underwhelmed with these, I think they could have been a lot cooler. I do like Fingerlace Gloves a lot, but the others are a little lacking for me.

What do you guys think about these?

L'Oreal Studio Secrets Magic Perfecting Base Review

Price- $12.99

From the L'Oreal website:
The product is 100% oil and fragrance free.

So I was at a Duane Reade and was looking for a face primer since I had ran out of the one I normally use. I grabbed this one because it was one of the only ones I saw. It also had a sign next to it stating it was the #1 Face primer stated by Allure magazine, so I decided to try it since I needed one for that day.

However, later I realized that nowhere on the packaging did it state it was a face primer, it stated it was a base. But looking at the ingredients, it does have similar ingredients that face primers such as Smashbox primer has.

The product comes in a little jar and is a pinkish color. You only need a small amount to cover your entire face.

It applies very smoothly and it's easy to apply. It makes applying foundation easier because it glides on more easily creating a smooth surface. The formula is light weight and reminds me of a mousse. It leaves your skin feeling soft and helps minimize the apperance of your pores.

I still need to keep trying it, in order to check if it helps your foundation last longer. I will keep you guys updated.

However, so far I think it is a great base to wear under your foundation.

This swatch is more the actual color, the picture above looks more pink than it does in real life.

This one is a little hard to see because it is very nude

Again, the swatch is more accurate than the picture above, which is a little too orange looking.

All of these are super smooth and not gritty at all. I've yet to try them with primer and do an actual look. I've been pretty distracted just looking at them for a few days now lol The colors I chose were pretty neutral. I automatically got overwhelmed by all the colors that they have and it took me a super long time to even choose five. I knew I wanted more neutral colors, but the brights were so awesome, it took a lot not to grab a bunch of them as well (I may need to make myself a bright palette too!). I also tried to stay away from colors that I already have, besides that black because I'm crazy about black with different color glitter.

I also love the palette itself. The colors go in easily, it's super sturdy and the magnetic top is just a genius idea. Also, if you get more palettes later on, they will all stick together because of the magnets for easier storage.

The price of each eyeshadow is $6 which is about 2.5 oz, and the palette is $11 (bigger ones are more). So in total this palette was $41, a little more than I would usually like to pay, but pretty affordable for a really good quality custom palette. Everything is definitely worth the price and I would recommend it.
